Regulation & safety

Check the entity, not the logo.

A broker’s protections depend on the legal entity that serves you and the regulator that licenses it. Here is how we verify that — and how you can check for yourself.

What our badges mean

  • ✓ Checked

We found the named entity and licence on the regulator’s own public register on the date shown, and recorded the register link. We do not rely on a broker’s own claim.

  • In progress

A check has started but is not complete. Treat the licence as unconfirmed.

  • Not yet verified

The broker states it is regulated, but we have not confirmed it ourselves.

A badge does not mean a broker is safe, and it does not guarantee that any protection applies to you. Different entities of the same brand can be regulated differently and serve different countries.

Check it yourself

  1. 1

    Find the legal entity

On the broker’s website footer or terms, note the full company name and the country you would be contracting with.

  2. 2

    Open the regulator’s register

Use the official links below — not a link supplied by the broker.

  3. 3

    Match name and licence number

Confirm the entity, its licence status and the permissions it holds.

  4. 4

    Confirm it serves your country

Make sure the entity you’re signing up with is the one the licence covers.
